Efron, the habit of IT Excellence

The beginnings - or about how Efron was born

In 2007, a set of relevant managers from some the largest IT consultancies in Spain shared a vision of what the Spanish IT industry needed. The company's main mission would be to help its clients meet their goals by becoming more competitive through the achievement of IT excellence. Finally, in 2009 EFRON Consulting was born.

With the help of an M&A consultancy specialized in the IT industry, EFRON started targeting and acquiring companies which had the potential to make a change in the IT industry. Some of these companies were: a pioneer developer of an Electronic Medical Record platform; a specialized QA & Testing services company that delivered services to the second biggest telecommunications operator in the world; and a company specialized in consumer credits for the banking industry.

Besides acquiring these companies - which set the path for future growth - Efron’s main success was the ability to integrate all these companies in a unique structure, providing a higher added value all together than any of them alone, and giving the group an international twist. As a result, EFRON counts nowadays with a workforce of over 650 people in different projects worldwide; a revenue growth rate of 15% per year (reaching more than US$40M in 2013); and an international expansion plan which has led the company to open branches in Europe, North America and South America.
